    Class Materials

    Students will need subscription to the New York Times ($1/week) to read and choose their article. Click here for student subscription

    Weekly Schedule

    • Week 1 Topic: Gender & Society
    • Week 2 Topic: Public Health & Global Society

     

    Daily Schedule

    • Monday: Building arguments -Discussion on the current events from multiple perspectives. Homework- Create an outline of your essay
    • Tuesday: Making an outline -Polishing the outline to structure out the analytical essay. Homework- Writing a 1st draft
    • Wednesday: Reviewing the 1st draft -Focusing on organization, logical progression of ideas, and coherence. Homework- Writing a 2nd draft
    • Thursday: Reviewing the final draft -Reviewing overall final draft including citing sources.
    • Friday: Proof-reading & Sharing feedback
